Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address, password, and username. You may optionally provide a display name and your real first and/or last name. Passwords are handled through our authentication provider and are not stored by us in plain text.
Community content. When you post questions or answers, we store the content you submit, the category and tags you choose, the name shown on your post (based on your chosen posting preference β for example your username, display name, or an optional real-name format), and the date of posting. Other users can see the name you choose to display and your posted content on the Site. Your login email address is not shown publicly on posts.
Interactions. If you are logged in and upvote an answer, we store which answers you voted on, linked to your user account.
Moderation data. If you or other users flag a question or answer, we store the flag status so content can be reviewed. The site administrator can view flagged content and associated author information.
Contact form. If you use our Contact page, we collect your name, email address, subject (optional), and message. Messages are stored in our database and may be forwarded by email to the operator.
Donations. If you choose to donate via PayPal, payment is processed entirely by PayPal. We do not receive or store your payment card details on OlimAnswers.
Technical data. Like most websites, our hosting and service providers may automatically process technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, and access logs for security, performance, and reliability.

OlimAnswers is a free, community-powered question-and-answer website aimed at helping olim and others navigate practical life topics in Israel. The Site includes forums, categories, search, voting, flagging, a checklist, optional donations, and a contact form.
Content on the Site is for general community information only. It is not legal, tax, medical, financial, immigration, or other professional advice. Laws, regulations, benefits, and procedures in Israel change frequently and may depend on your personal circumstances.
Always verify important information with official government sources, licensed professionals, or qualified advisers before acting on it. You use the Site and any content at your own risk.
Certain features require a free account. You agree to provide accurate registration information, keep your login credentials secure, and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access to your account. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
When you register, you choose a username that is shown publicly on the Site by default. You may optionally add a display name and/or real name, and choose how your name appears on posts in your account settings. Usernames must not impersonate others or mislead the community about your identity.

You may submit questions, answers, votes, flags, and other material (βUser Contentβ). Prohibited conduct includes harassment, hate speech, spam, impersonation, posting unlawful content, attempting to breach security, scraping or overloading the Site, or using the Site in a way that harms others or interferes with its operation. We provide flagging tools and administrator moderation. We may review, unflag, or remove content, and may suspend or terminate accounts, at our discretion where we believe content or conduct violates these Terms, the Community Guidelines, or applicable law, or where necessary to protect the community or the Site.
We are not obligated to monitor all content and do not guarantee that all problematic content will be identified or removed.
Donations are voluntary and processed through PayPal. Unless we expressly state otherwise in writing, donations support the operation of the Site and are not payment for goods or services, membership, or professional advice. PayPalβs terms and privacy policy apply to payment processing.
The Siteβs name, branding, layout, and original site materials are owned by the operator or used with permission. You may not copy, modify, or exploit them except as allowed by law or with our prior written consent.
